STYLEAID EnDURO ICE GARMENTS

Found in: Paper Inspiration

Stockman Paper Merchants have been proud sponsors of the W.A Aids Council STYLEAID event since 2005.

In 2008 a competition was run with the fashion design students from the W.A Design Schools. The concept was to produce a garment using EnDURO ICE 80gsm for the STYLEAID  event.

The final garment chosen was used in promotional photography for this, the quintessential fashion fundraising event in Perth, STYLEAID and then worn on the catwalk at the event.

EnDURO ICE is a unique combination of polypropylene film sandwiched between two layers of transparent paper. This creates a water and tear resistant product that can be stitched, folded and glued. The results were outstanding and the garment chosen was designed by student Leanne Lim.

The design brief from Stylist Aly May was to create a garment in the Renaissance theme, but not in the old 1500s style, but the original definition of the word, one which heralds a revival of thought and activity.

Now that is Paper Inspiration.
