Image fanapart glue
Supreme Image fanapart glue is specially matched to the Supreme
Image paper range. Stockman Paper cannot guarantee trouble-free
printing when other brands of glue are being used.
Running direction
If you glue transversely to the running direction, the waves
(washboard marks) will be more pronounced than if you glue
parallel to the running direction. It is recommended to use
papers which all run in the same grain direction.
Ink
In order to avoid a negative effect from the printing ink
on the fanapart glue, the edge, which is going to be glued,
should be left unprinted for 2 mm.
Gluing cut
Immediately before gluing and after the set has been assembled,
a gluing cut should be made on the side.
Height of paper stack
The height of the stack should not exceed 30-40 cm. In order
to stop the upper sets from sliding, the stack can be weighted,
however, the weight should be placed back from the edge that
is to be glued.
Application
Shake the glue well and pour it into a clean vessel. Apply
one or two uniform coats of glue to the gluing edge, starting
from the middle of the stack, so that the glue does not run
over the corners of the stack and sticks the outer sides together.
If using two coats, do not allow the first coat to dry before
applying the second coat.
After the application
Never pour the unused glue back into the glue bottle. After
use, thoroughly clean the brush and the vessel with water,
and dry them.
After 30 minutes at room temperature of approximately 21ºC,
the glue will be sufficiently dry to allow you to separate
the sets carefully by moving them sideways.
Do not allow the sets to be left un-separated for longer
than 1 hour, as this can cause a blocking effect to the stack.
After a drying time of 1 hour, the sets can undergo further
processing.
Supreme Image CF Tag Board
If CF Tag Board is used, a thicker coat of glue should be
applied and a longer drying time should be allowed before
separating the sets.
The above instructions are a guide only and testing prior
to running the job is always recommended. Please contact Stockman
