Printing
Process
The key point to remember is that EnDURO prints just like
paper.
It is suitable for all printing processes where previously
a paper substrate would have been used. I.e. - lithographic
printing, flexographic printing, screen printing and digital
printing.
EnDURO is perfect for print on demand laser technologies
(POD), and variable information printing (VIP).
Just like when printing on paper, standard inks may be used
on EnDURO.
Printing Equipment
As EnDURO handles just like paper, special printing plates,
blankets and drying conditions are not necessary. Even when
UV drying the product is not stressed.
OEMs
EnDURO undergoes regular compatibility testing by all major
OEMs to ensure that EnDURO will deliver page after page of
quality printed image.
Conversion
1. EnDURO may be cut, punched, pierced, perforated, drilled,
folded and stitched.
2. To maintain good tear resistance it is necessary to achieve
smooth, clean cutting when processing. Knives/tooling equipment
should be sharpened regularly and maintained in line with
expectations.
3. Cut edges should not be crushed, frayed or torn as such
uneveness will compromise strength causing weakened edges.
4. When cutting we recommend an angle of 23 - 25 degrees.
5. When folding EnDURO, paper cracking is possible depending
on the thickness of the paper and how sharp the fold is. It
is possible that the dead fold is somewhat higher than the
paper. Normally you can overcome both problems by double folding.
6. When gluing you can use all adhesives including hot melt.
Stockman Paper recommend
thorough testing of EnDURO prior to production run.
